After a very rewarding year, the SkyCare team let their hair down all over the country with Christmas celebrations; Auckland team dressed up an aircraft hangar and invited Santa to the party, Queenstown played a few rounds of mini golf followed by a BBQ and Wellington team enjoyed dinner and drinks in the CBD.
A big thank you to all of our staff across the country for a positive and successful year which you were all part of.

SkyCare welcomes the 787 Dreamliner!

On Saturday November 12, SkyCare was excited to handle the arrival of the brand new Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which touched down at Auckland Airport at 10.00am.
The luxury Dreamliner, which is 3 years overdue for delivery, was bought in by Air NZ Pilot Dave Morgan and US Pilot
Regis Hancock. The high-tech plane, with its promise of improved passenger comfort and 20 per cent greater fuel efficiency and fewer emissions in comparison to similar sized aircraft, was to have reached the market in 2008.
The first delivery was made to All Nippon Airlines in September and New Zealanders will see the plane in service here next summer season with Continental Airlines, with Jetstar in 2013 and Air New Zealand in 2014.
Air New Zealand chief executive Rob Fyfe said the airline was the first customer for the 787-9 version, with eight aircraft on order.
SkyCare was proud to be a part of the arrival process into New Zealand and to see it's departure safely to Australia the following Tuesday.

Congratulations to the All Blacks with their outstanding victory against France in the final of the world cup, and what a good game it was!
The SkyCare operations team were kept on their toes during the busy rugby world cup period, jam packed with corporate arrivals and departures all throughout the day and night. Raynor and Deanna did a maginificent job keeping on top of the organisation and facilitation of all movements, and a special mention must go out to the SkyCare Airline Services ramp team for their assistance, especially Russell and Hugh in Queenstown for your efforts at the other end of the country!
